Blogging with students

During a recent ‘Using Web 2.0 to Increase Student Achievement’ workshop session we explored using digital conversations with students. Starting with our purpose we thought about ways teachers could use these conversations to motivate and increase learning, reflection, and deeper understandings in their classrooms.

Based on instructional purpose teachers looked at different platforms for creating blogs and then started to create their own.

The platforms we explored included:

SchoolBlog: (from ePals)

There are many other platforms available for blogging. These were chosen based on their availability to our school and ease of use.  They also offer various features and degrees of complexity.

Workshop participants, and others out there, can use this post to ask questions, post resources, or simply network on their use of blogging.  How is it going out there in the blogosphere?
