Stop a moment. Take a deep breath. Notice how far you’ve come this past year. Remember all the good, kind, and brave things you have done. (via twitter @thewonderchild)
I read this tweet tonight and it made me stop and think. It is often easy for us to get caught up in ‘to do lists’, projects and deadlines and not take the time to reflect on where we have been. So, for the new year take a moment to reflect on where you’ve been…
- What have you accomplished this year?
- How have you grown this year?
- as an educator
- as a leader
- as a friend
- Who have you helped be better, smarter, kinder?
After taking time to ‘remember all the good, kind, and brave things you have done’, think about the year to come and make some professional and personal goals. I’m not talking about resolutions, because they come and go. I’m talking about goals that help you stay focused and become even a better person then you are today.
Happy New Year to all my readers- may your year be filled with wonder, curiosity and the fulfillment of dreams.
