#366 Challenge: Looking UP

I am enjoying this year’s #366 Challenge.  Like my last challenge in 2010, I find when I take a picture everyday I become more ‘in the moment’, as well as reflective.  This year I’ve decided to challenge myself and assign some themes once in awhile. Last week I decided to take a picture ‘looking up’ every day. I think that often we are so rushed with work, home, and everything that comes with both that we don’t take enough time to see the world from a different perspective, or even angle. So, here are my first five pictures for my theme ‘looking up’.

Now that I’m thinking about this theme, I will revisit it and add more pictures to this slideshow every once in awhile.

I’ve talked before about having students take their own pictures, whether it be to spark writing pieces or to show examples of geometry in their lives.  Pictures are powerful.  With this theme in mind, how about having students take a picture ‘from a different perspective’ and write about that perspective.

In the meantime, don’t forget to look up.
